Take part as an organisation
Are you looking to understand more about how to get people involved with your organisation or group? Have you always wanted to feel part of a larger network of individuals, organisations and government local to your own needs and visions for the future?
Taking part with the Stories from the Valleys programme as an organisation provides a novel, yet well-established means of exploring how best to engage people in a way that works for them. The programme’s main intent and focus is on providing a space for people to get their voices heard in a collaborative and creative spirit.
As an organisation there are many levels of involvement, ranging from dissemination of research and help with recruitment, to membership and co-creation of specific “packs”. This is a not for profit programme, charges are designed to cover support from the Cynefin Centre. Participants are also expected to commit resource to the programme. Additional resources are available worldwide through the Cognitive Edge network of independent consultants and academics if required.
Membership is open to any legislative group at varying levels of cost. The Government of Wales for example qualifies as a small country, but other interested early participants include cities, provinces and government departments as well as NGOs. The goal is to link and connect nodes through Educational Institutions but this is not a requirement.
The key component of the programme is the concept of a Pack which relates to a specific application area. A pack contains full instructions, supporting material and access to training and support. The initial funding from the Welsh Government covers the production of three packs, but others can be initiated on demand. Organisations that fund the production of a new pack will benefit from the use of that pack by other members downstream.
Each pack can be co-produced with representatives of the interest areas involved. Those available as standard for the Stories from the Valleys project are: Community, Education, and Sports Clubs.
